Key Responsibilities
- Review inpatient and outpatient patient medical records to assign precise ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS codes.
- Oversee end-to-end hospital and clinical revenue cycle management, electronic claim scrubbing, and clearinghouse submissions.
- Manage medical necessity denials, insurance appeals, and prompt payment reconciliations with commercial and government payers.
- Coordinate with clinical documentation improvement (CDI) teams to ensure medical chart integrity and regulatory reimbursement compliance.
What We Are Looking For
- Active certification from AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, CCS, CPB, or RHIT required).
- 3+ years of clinical coding and medical billing experience in acute hospital or multi-specialty clinical environments.
- Extensive knowledge of CMS billing rules, NCCI edits, Fee-For-Service, and Value-Based Care payment models.
- Strong familiarity with electronic billing clearinghouses and hospital EHR billing modules.
